Maybe its a throwback to my early years doing embroidery kits, but fiber art is so pleasing when its round.  This little jewel reminds me of mold cultures growing on a petri plate (in a good way).  It will soon be making its way to be part of  “The River” art show at Petersburg Art Center, WV!

Silk dyed with yerba maté tea and iron, mounted on a 4 inch brass ring, then embroidered with silk dyed with madder root.
