Kintsugi 2

Kintsugi is a Japanese way of mending broken ceramics with gold.  Broken and repaired items are beautiful because they celebrate the impermanence of life.  Things sitting on shelves are boring.  Things being used by people is what gives them life and a story. This work honors that tradition.

Ecoprinted silk collaged and mounted on 10X10 canvas; false indigo, prunus leaves, prickly lettuce, geranium leaves, fern
